If you think you are impatient now, wait till you drive one! It really is incredible how this little car makes you feel like you in a huge car. Yes, Crown Automotive Group in Hoover will be a Smart Dealer - they are in the process of building the building now and are scheduled to open in August. Hopefully you will be able to take a test drive in the Bhm area in August. I went to Atlanta, got there early and had a 50 minute test drive - FUN FUN FUN. I merged on and off I 285 several times with ease, drove beside big trucks without feeling any movement. One of the really neat things about the car is that the seats are somewhat elevated and you get that big car feeling. Hope you get the opportunity to drive one soon - I found that if I manual shifted, it acceleratd and merged into the traffic with ease. There is a bit of a hesitation if you use the automatic transmission.
