Battery Cut Off Switch

Seen a lot about the "no towing", "battery cut off switch". Is it really that hard to just disconnect the pos or neg terminal from the battery and tow away? What is the difference?

Air Cond/Heater fan/blower making whistling noise

My smart is a week old. I have been noticing that the blower/fan for the heater/air conditioner makes a whistling sound. Also, if I turn the fan off while parked or slow moving, the noise goes away. But if I am going 40 or above, I get the noise. The higher the speed, the louder, with or without the fan on - indicating that it is not the fan.Anyone had this prob?Tks for any help.RaySee More
