Haven't been on here lately... Been enjoying my car. Just interviewed with our local magazine. They are doing an article on the smart car. That was kinda fun.
Getting between 35 and 40 mpg. I already have around 2500 miles on my car and only had it around 3 months. Hope everyone else is having as much fun with their car as me.

After a good wipe down with a wash mitt I rinse and then follow up with the applicator's spot-free rinse. Once I squeegy her dry and dry with soft microfiber cloths I finished up with a revolutionary new polymer wax called Rejex. It lasts for 4 months and after a twelve hour cure time will be impervious to bug splats. Although I had a clear paint shield installed at the dealer before I took delivery, I feel that the slipperiness would add to the protection and make clean ups easier. Rejex can be purchased online or locally at True Value Hardware stores.

I have added a number of aftermarket add-ons. I installed an armrest, chrome door sill plates, chrome trim on upper cabrio high visibility tail light, chrome trim rings on foglights, silver ram air scoop, high performance full flow air filter, Cabrio wind deflector, Brabus license plate frame and I have just received my MDC (Mister Dot Com) cruise control. I have already put 2500 miles on the speedo and getting 41 to 44mpg city/highway. We drive mainly in manual mode, its just more fun. Thanks for the update.

My sales rep, Amber, was fantastic. The dealership made sure that pick up day went smoothly. I decided to buy the cover for the back and mats. "Smart" me was going to get them cheaper at Wal-Mart until I realized there aren't any in thimble size in the store. Don't you just love the red? I'm so glad I went with the red car and red interior. Gives the car quite a personality. I see you got your car at the same dealer. My husband said he saw your car while we were there!

Meaning, the panels are 'painted'. if I take a rock chip, it will show up a lot easier than a solid colored car. Secondly, The chrome package ($399) required a little bit of intricate care when installing the mirror covers, so I let the dealer do it. The rest of the stuff, some $1200 in extras (including cruise control) I will add myself. I will have as much fun dressing her up as my wife gets from driving it. Take care!
