I just can't imagine anyone preferring to use a spare tire with SOLID rubber. The Smart is already rough enough.

Ha ha ha. That is a funny picture. Does Rusty enjoy driving in automatic or manual?

Do you know your smarts's birthday?

I was wondering what day my smart was built. The door jam sports only the month and year. I stopped buy my smart dealer and asked the service rep if he could help. He jumped up, walked to a computer, then returned with a smile. He had the date. My car was built. February 8, 2008. He also found the date it arrived on U.S. soil. March 14, 2008. So if you want to give your smart a birthday party just check with you dealer.

Shifter failure.

Have you gotten stranded in your smart yet? Well I was this weekend (06-6-09). I traveled from Bucks County Pennsylvania to Cape May County in southern New Jersey. I was going to visit a friend of mine. I had traveled about 90 miles when I stopped at a small dinner for a late breakfast. As I was putting my smart out of gear the button on the shifter would not move. I played with it and got it to work, and slid the shifter into park. And there it stayed. I was stuck. I called the smart road side… Continue

Just got my first scratch, comin' back from Philly, a car in front, kicked up a piece of plastic and I wailed it. I tried to polish it out, got most of it but I might end up buying a new hood.Any Idea what it cost ?

I've got a few model cars left here at smart center Round Rock. You can call me and tell me which one you are looking for and I'll check if I have it. Right now half of these models are discontinued from the manufacturer and for 2 or 3 months now we haven't been able to get them from either the parts wharehouse for smart or from the gear store. Let me know if I can help. Paul 512-592-4965

Good eye on the chrome wheel well strips on only one side of the car. Take another look and you'll see wheel well strips on one side, and lower body strip on the other. Still not sure which one will win out...probably wheel well.

Hi Rich,
there are also about 3 cars in my immediate neighborhood. a blue one, and a red one that they use as a pizza delivery car . and I just saw a white one pass me on the road a few days ago. I stil get the question "is it an electric car?" there's 2 that live further south of me around the Vineland NJ area, and when I went to a meet and greet in north Jersey 9 showed up there, and they were all from north jersey, or Manhattan NJ area.

Hi Rich. I know Lower Bucks County pretty well..I've been to Neshaminy Mall, and to Peddlers Village in Lahaska, and I'm originally from Northeast Philly, so I have taken many rides down "roosevelt Blvd" (Rte 1!)

Hi Rich, Thanks for getting back to me. If you would like to meet and talk about the cars it sounds like fun. There is a chance that we may have already met on the first day that you purchased your car. Did you stop in a pizza shop in Croydon on the way home from the dealer? Maybe Sunday night at my home might be a good time and place to meet. My home number is 215-639-5171. I hope to hear from you.
Thanks, Ron

Hi Rich,
Hope you are enjoying your Smart car as much as I am enjoying mine. My husband likes it for around town but not on long drives. He calls it the Mini pooper (he thinks he's funny). Have over 6000 miles on the little one. I use it to go everywhere as my bigger car just sits in the drive way. It was nice hearing from someone in the general Philly area.
