My husband, Tom, had put a link in the MS Gulf Coast Smart Club forum (click on this active link to get there). Just go to the page, you will see Discussion Forum and under it my husband's picture and next to it, in red, Smart products. Go there. Or, if you can't find your way around and manage to get to the link just click on this Cruise Control page, which is the one Tom links to from the forum. I am giving you both ways since you say you do not know your way around computers too well and this may help you learn to navigate some.
Tom told me you will have to have someone install it for you since this is only the product for sale. Good luck! :-)
Sandra: There is a lot of information available on service and maintenance and the parts, both here and on the SCOA forum website. Coincidentally, I just posted a bunch of information on filters and the such on this website. There are a lot a brands available to choose from. Most of the auto parts (I said "most") stores can help you out. Bill in K.C.
The oil filter is visible from under the rear of the car. The other filters can be seen on the Smartcar of America (SCOA) web site. You can sign in and join for free. Type in the search area for the Air and/or Cabin filters. There are pictures and instructions on the location and how to change filters.
Napa has Smart filters. Oil filter is part# 7040. Cabin is #9351. Air cleaner is #9301. The first two are available now and the Air should be out by summer. Area 451 has a cruise control for the Smart cars. Someone to install it and it may take about 2 hours.
We have almost 15,000 miles on MAXWELL and he will be one year old on 3/20/2009. I do my own service because the dealer is two+ hours one way.
