What do I do with my new configured smart?

Got my configure email 9-5-08 like apparently so many others. We love our orphan "Annie" and are debating the next step. A few folks have asked about buying one but they're not on smart USA's list. They are willing to put the money in my account so I can buy the "new" car for them. I've also seen on blogs that some (?) dealers will give you the same $$ you paid for your orphan towards your newer configured model. - I was at the bank today....and four (!) people came out of the bank (while I was talking to the person parked next to me) and asked about my car. You really must be an outgoing person to own one of these wonders because you are constantly asked about it. One guy actually blocked me in and wanted me to end the debate he was having with his wife as to WHO made the smart. (Seems to me they could have resolved this by going on line...but I did NOT mentions that to them....:) Life with a smart is very interesting!

- Tammy..... if you can afford to buy it just to sell, you should make up for that extra you paid for annie.. Just goto ebay.com and type in smart car. Many are going for much more than they cost..If you don't buy it, the dealer probably will not let someone else have it for the price you would pay. They will add a few options and make extra money on those options. Glad to hear you got yours so soon.. I reserved Jun 4th 2008 and if my car is as fast as yours it should be here by dec. When did you configure? I haven't been contacted yet.
