I would like to thank everyone who sent their wishes of encouragement and advice. I am proud to say this morning I bought an orphan almost to the exact specifications to the one I ordered. The only thing different is this one has heated seats and power steering (bonus!), which I did not originally order. I am getting the exact car I want and am elated. The car is still at the dealer having the navigation/backup camera etc... installed. Should be able to pick up tomorrow morning. Thank you all… Continue

Just before I got the e-mail from the dealer, the estimated delivery date changed from just a month and year to a month, day and year date. Prior to that, it had only jumped backwards once, just prior to the e-mail from the dealer. It was Feb-April, then went to Jan-March...next day jumped back to Feb-April.

I read where you have received your configuration e-mail and you reserved April 16 '08, Could I ask what your e-mail looked like ie; subject, what address it came from? I also reserved in April this year, 4-07-08, hoping I'll also be getting an invitation to confirgure soon?
