So we FINALLY went on our honeymoon, and had to leave the SMART car behind, although since we were going on a cruise out of FL, and then driving back to NJ, there were lots of jokes about checking the SMART through on the plane, driving it around the Lido deck, etc.
I was very pleased that after two weeks of sitting out in the cold, my little car started right up! I was very careful before we left to turn off all of the 'auto' settings (headlights, wipers, etc.).
We saw only two… Continue

I enjoy watching the reactions of people when they see my smart. The stickers generate a lot of smiles from the people in cars behind me. The stickers can be found on ebay.

Hi- Saw your little royal blue Smart exiting Seven Locks Mall about 3:30 today- I was driving Rosie, my new red Smart. We exchanged waves. Rosie was excited to see another of her kind in the area. Do you live in Rockville? Are there other Smarts in this area? Was great seeing you. Aileen

Does anyone know where or have a link to a lockable drawer that will
install under the passenger seat. I saw one a few months ago that pop rivets
in that space, but did not write down where to obtain it. Reach me at my
regular web site that is herbalmaster at aoldotcom. Continue

Hey everybody. Just wanted to do a body count estimate of about how many people are showing up to the Smart Center in Fairfield event on March 5th. To all those that are unaware, it should be in your mailboxes now or momentarily. Hope all that can make it come and hopefully it will be nice weather.

I received my 90 day notice email and am thinking about financing. I need to keep my payments as low as possible - due to present day economic concerns and budgeting in general.
Are the dealers offering any incentives, to go thru with the deal and I had heard that there may be tax break for people who are buying cars in 2009 as part of the economic stimulus push. Any truth to this. I really do want my Brabus Smart Car.

As smart owners you see the stares, you feel the stares, they are there constantly. Some stare out of disbelief, some out of curiosity, some to mock, and some are angry (how dare you drive that on the Highway). It’s a way of life for now. I say now because as gas prices start creeping up and eventually top the $5 mark (Obama wants it at least at $5) then people will be staring for other reasons.
What I hear most is; how cute. Like this is not a serious mode of transportation for them, but… Continue

While driving, using just my normal headlights, I find that I am constantly being FLASHED by other motorists-- 9 out of 10 cars that are approaching from the opposite direction give me thier High Beams. It is exceptionally annoying, and actually spoils my drive. Is anyone else finding this to be the case with them as well? I almost have to drive with my highbeams ON, and then dim them when another motorist approaches, just to keep them from blasting me with thier Brights. Tips? Ideas?

I presume that many of us are aware of the existance of Smartimes Magazine an on-line e-zine dedicated to all things having to do with smart cars and their owners. (www.smartimesmagazine.com).
You may be like me when I found that the bulk of the articles refer to Europe and markets other than the USA and Canada I was a bit dissapointed. However they have offices now in the USA and are very interested in a broader focus that includes all of us and our exciting new market for smart… Continue

It's probably my imagination, but I'd swear that when drivers of SUVs or hot cars get a glimpse of my white smart they speed up and try to find a way to pass me.
The other day, a young kid literally pulled up next to me on Onondaga Hill, half of the passenger's side of his car was missing, he looked at me, put pedal to the medal, burned rubber, and I assume exceeded the 40 mph speed limit, and left me behind for 100 feet until he found himself behind a line of cars.
If I… Continue

My brother-in-law got one of those smart cars, and it’s the ugliest thing i ever saw. It holds only 8 gallons and gets 40 miles to the gallon. Yeah, I can see all these little itty, bitty cars racing around. Might as well race match box cars, or remote control cars.
This all about Nascar, and someone blog about our sweet little car.
