My 206 cm Salomon classic Nordic (cross country) skis and Swix Nordic (cross country) poles fit just great in my Smart Car. There is even room for my 12-year-old son and his Nordic ski gear. I can also fit 60 pairs of Nordic Walking Poles in my new SMART car as I travel around hosting Nordic Walking Clinics.

We have had great snow for Nordic Skiing - cross country skiing here in northern Michigan. We have been cross country skiing… Continue

Well guys, last Saturday was a success! We had a turnout of over 200 people to our official launch party. We had DFW smart club here with over 14 smart cars that showed up thanks to Brandon! If you came and I didn't get a chance to talk to you, I apologize for I was swamped...but in a good way. Now, onto my favorite subject, custom smarts... We did our test drive demo smart in carbon fiber this last week. and… Continue

Orphan Passions

Just bought passion coup in Cary, NC. from salesman Joe Lynch, with rain sensing wipers and light sensing headlights. I had placed order April 08 w/ DDE Dec-Feb 09 got tried of waiting, canceled order and bought same car + stereo up-grade. Also, received message in Jan. about discontinued options. I'm the winner! I suggest everyone else do the same. They have lots of cars in stock.

New car review for the Passion 3-6-09.

OK, after waiting a considerable amount of time (11 months) my smart is here! Love the car, I can stand at the front of the car and actually hug it as my arm span is wider than the car. The leather package and even the heated seats got it's first and only workout when the temps dropped this week, but I could only stand the heat for about 10 minutes and had to shut it off. The morning dew got on my windshield and I was surprised that the wipers move… Continue

Adding an Arm Rest - 451series' Arm Rest Reviewed

Like many of us, I really spend a large amount of time behind the wheel of my Smart. I've thought about how nice it would be to have an arm rest in my vehicle. Well we went off to the Smart Car Gathering in Orlando a few weeks back ago. It was a terrific event with lots of specialized cars and vendors. We had seen a few arm rests there that we thought would fit our bill, but when we walked in the door, we signed up for a raffle for an arm rest. I thought, sure, I'll sign up for that, but fat… Continue

Hey everybody. I just got back from a Smart car rally. The rally consisted of Smart technicians and after reading a blog post about the transmission chip, I had to ask it to clear the air. Emily at the center told me all you have to do is contact the service center and leave your car there for about an hour and they will flash your 2008 transmission chip to the 2009 transmission chip COMPLIMENTARY! I suggest everybody to do this for the ability to shift while in automatic and to apparently have… Continue

Lots of Orphans

I took my "Baby Car" in for her 10000 mile check up & they have 15 orphans! Don't know if anyone wants to travel to Portland, OR for a car or not...I love mine & am still on the reservation list for a '09. I plan to change the panels as the '09 doesn't come in yellow!

replacement chip for shifting

It is my undestanding that the 09 Smarts have a new chip which makes the car shift smoother. There is supposed to be a replacement chip for the 08's but we haven't heard much about the when.

Anyone know? I have been searching the sites (forum, blog etc.) and have found nothing. About a month ago when I was on someone had commented on the fact that the 09's have it, but I couldn't find it now.

Gas Guage Problems anybody?

My gas guage doesn't read full on fill ups. Only 7 boxes light up and then after about 50 miles the 8th box lights up. I have had several service adjustments but the problem is still there.
