Red, my Smart is going in for it's 2 year check-up. Couldn't be more satisfied.
If I had $10 for everyone who has driven my Smart or for whom I have taken for a "test drive", ....Well you get the picture and I didn't even get a hat.

I just did some comparison shopping for insurance coverage, and I found a wide range of premiums among the various companies. I found that State Farm
offered the lowest premium for my smart--actually the lowest by far!
When I first purchased my smart, in March, 2008, there was only one company offering coverage in my area: Liberty-Mutual. when my premium went up a bit after the first year, I called them to find out why. They told me it was the… Continue

My 13 year old daughter came up with a brilliant idea for a smart car comercial, and she would like to share it with the world. How can she pitch it to smart car? Its really good.

Got my Smart back that had a windshield incident (see blog post below). Windscreen is Smart OEM, new seal (old one could be reused but I opted for new) and the stratched Tridion and front panels have been repaired perfectly. I mean they nailed the color. Its as if they shipped the panels to Smartville, had Smart GmbH paint it and then sent it back. Amazing job.
If you live in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area and have any vehicle that needs post-accident and/or windscreen repair, do not… Continue

I received this link on my SCOA RSS feed. It's about the first car Benz built and the new drivable replicas. Wouldn't it be great to show the 'progress' from the first two seater from 1886 to the fortwo now? I think it would be a home run.
From here 1886

I thought I'd do a constructive
blog about what all us members want from susai and what features you like about the site. After the shock up the 'glitch' on the weekend, I am proud of the quick repair that happened. I also hope the the relationship with the members and smartUSA can be of a more of a ongoing two way dialogue.
So let's start here. let's all show smartUSA what we like about susai and how we can recommend folks to make susai 'home base'.
What I… Continue

My Smart Cabrio is having roof problems. It looks like 2 pins came out of the drivers side of the fabric roof system. I have the extended warrant and we have an appointment tomorrow in Jax, Fl. I hope they can fix it fast- It's been raining here and I am tired of driving other peoples cars while My Smart is safe in the garage.

It's official. The people at smartUSA and the 'Adminstration' of susai have absolutely no clue as to what a social website is for and no concept of the value of member content, true human communication with members (11,063 of them) and why we joined this site. Every time they say were going to improve the site they remove or break features or needlessly fix things that are not broken. The value of this site for me is almost zero. WE HAVE ALL SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS TO CREATE AND ADD CONTENT TO… Continue

I guess they could put a cap on that gas tank.
That might sell a few… Continue

I'd had LittleTow for more than a year, scooting up, down and around the Ozarks. I loved the little Smart car that didn't seem to know the difference between a hilly road and a flat one. In the back of my mind, though, I wondered how those three cylinders would handle a truly steep hill or a real mountain road.
Last September I attended an RV rally in Colorado Springs and, when I looked up, I saw the hill meant to test my little Smartie. They called it Pike's… Continue

Has anyone encountered a problem with the trans. @ low speeds (5 to 15 mph) i.e. it seem's to get confused where it should be, 1st or 2nd. Seem's that when it shifts up to 2nd and decides it needs to be back in 1st and trys to downshift it gets locked up in 2nd. Will shift up but never again into 1st. I flat tow my Smart with my RV and have a battery cut off switch installed and the only way I can get 1st gear back is to turn off the battery and re-boot the computer. I'm just worried that there… Continue

Is there any possibility of adding a power stirring motor to a Passion coupe as an aftermarket. All the time I read it has to be purchased as a factory installed untit only. Is it that difficult to install it? Have any of you friends installed one already. Pls let me know your experience first hand. TKS!!!

Anyone buy and install those new stiffer motor mounts in their car yet? Any feedback or thoughts? I worry that the lack of movement in the strut will transfer vibration from the engine into the cabin, or put stress on the axels that might cause premature wear. Motor mounts are suppose to flex. I understand the theory. Porsche is working on a fluid motor mount that is regulated by throttle and power demand to do the same thing. I wish it weren't so expensive either. $130 is a bit much.
