I LOVE MY (our) smart Car! I only wish it had a horn that would get some idiots attention, rather then a chuckle! Am thinking of getting a "truck" horn! Sometimes it's a bit frustrating when they see you coming and people pull out in front of you, as if you didn't have enough umph to get up and go and it just irritates me, because it means my breaks are getting more work out then I like! Other then giving my hand signal (read finger) I want a horn that'll rip them a new one! Any suggestions??… Continue

We heard about the rally from someone we met, but somehow never got the complete instructions on how to proceed. We just headed off to Monroe, but it was 8:37 by the time we got to the parking lot and there were no Smarts in sight. After some discussion, we decided to head for Leavenworth anyway. After all, how hard would it be to find that many colorful cars?
People told us that they had just seen them turn off on some road they didn't know the name of, or they had seen them quite a… Continue

... is this the coolest thing, or what? Not cheap (!), but after ogling the scangauge for a while and not really seeing any clean/uncompromising install option this may be it ...
Just waiting until someone tries it out and they post English/installation instructions.

I've had my smart since September 2008. Lately - maybe the last month or so - it has occasionally stalled out when I go over a bump. It can be just a dip in the road, a speed bump, or a pothole. Never a big bump, and never at a high speed - so far. Often it's when I'm turning a corner. The car just stops dead. It'll happen a couple of times, then not again for a while, then it'll happen again. Last week we had beastly heat, and it happened 3 times in one day. I thought, maybe it's the AC, which… Continue

I love driving my Smart Car, but I miss having a place to rest my right arm while I drive.
Is there an after market add on for an arm rest?

I got a beep and a thumbs up from a motorcycle that passed me yesterday. I think I will get some Harley Davidson badges to put on the car, so I fit in. Ha.

Hi everyone and thanks to all that came out for the event.
While dissapointed that we had about 30 no shows we did end up with 65 registered smart cars plus a custon from BPP, a custom smart from Smart Car Customs and The Police smart from Belle Isle, Florida for a total of 68 smart cars.
We gave away $650 in Cash Door Prizes as well as two hatch handles donated by 451series.com, an armrest also donated by 451series and a great set of bumpers from Smart Car… Continue

Just received in the mail an "emergency kit" from smart USA. It is the size and shape of a CD mailer. It unfolds to show gift cards for Starbucks, Barnes & Nobel, and Exxon Mobil each on its own flap. There is also a removable card you're supposed to record your smart dealer name, phone number, address and keep with you.
The outside says this.
>>smart emergency kit. Thank you for choosing smart. As a token of our appreciation, we're giving you some essential… Continue

Twenty-eight Smarts arrived early for our first official road rally from Monroe, WA on the west side of the Cascade Mountains to Leavenworth, WA on the east side of the Cascades.
Our rally captain, John Nicon, provided each driver with a detailed set of directions utilizing roads less travelled that meandered through some very beautiful countryside. We had an opportunity for a photos in the small town of Skykomish to stretch our legs and chat.
We had to back track on the… Continue
