Your gonna like this. My lucky "stone" or "pebble" which I keep in my right pants pocket fell out the other day between the drivers seat and the emergency brake and then slipped into the right rail of the drivers seat. While cutting up knuckles trying to get it out it only got it further stuck. Can't move the seat backwards or forwards. The seat is all the way back anyway and I can't get to the rear bolts to remove the seat to get the stone/pebble removed. Feel… Continue

It's been a couple years now since the Smart Car has become available in the United States. I had wanted one since I first saw them in England back in 2005. After much on and off desire for one, I have decided to finally get one. I am halfway to my ideal down payment and I am very excited that I will be the owner of a my very own Smart Car.

Those fold up cardboard window covers...Does everybody know what I'm talking about? It was a horrid 96* here today, and inside my car had to be 120*. The steering wheel was burning hot. I want to get some sort of shield to put up on the inside of the window, but wonder if the usual ones that other cars use would work in our smarts? Does anyone have one that works, or know of a special one just for smarts? It looks like it's going to be a nasty hot summer.

I WAS WANTING TO KNOW WHO OUT THEIR, THAT OWN A SMART THINK THAT WE SHOULD HAVE THE MERCEDES BENZ SYMBOLS ON OUR SMARTS. WHEN I TALK TO PEOPLE AND THEY FIND OUT THAT THE SMART IS A MERCEDES, THEY SAY THAT REALY CHANGES MY VIEW OF THE SMART, THEY LIKE THAT IT'S MERCEDES, AND MOST SAY I'AM GOING TO CHECK IT OUT THAN, BECAUSE MERCEDES WOULD NOT MAKE A BAD CAR. I ALSO THINK THAT THEIR IS NOT ENOUGHT INFO OUT ABOUT HOW SAFE THE SMART IS, WHEN I TALK TO PEOPLE THEY ARE SO SURPRISED… Continue

We just finished a cross country trip from CT to AZ and back. The most valuable thing we had with us is a book (Roadfood, by Jane and Michael Stern, ISBN 978-0-7679-2829-8). This is the latest of their books. This book is a list of great places to eat along almost every roadway in the U.S. What this book offers is a list of mostly non-fast food places to eat at very reasonable prices. We found without exception that every place recommended was well worth the stop. Because the book lists some… Continue

Have only had my fortwo Passion for 3 weeks and love it with one exception. The seat belts ride (and cut into) the side of both the driver's and passenger's necks. Has anyone else had this problem and is able to advise how they solved the problem?

Just got my smart car on the 18th of May 2010 after trading in my Ford Explorer Sport. I love the SUV, but I commute 50 miles a day back and forth to work not including running errands or anything else. So I have always wanted a smart car, but the price tag is what kept me back, but when I saw this car it was love at first sight. I got a great deal as well as it was fully equipped with all the bells and whistles.
I am looking forward to learning about my new car and having… Continue

Ladies and Gentlemen:
Almost three weeks ago someone tried to steal my Smartcar, a black Cabrio. I drive her every where and often times have those days where driving a car the size of a ping pong ball gets to me. In her place I have had a horrible rental car as big as a house and have never missed my car more. I had asked the agency to give me the most fuel efficient car that they had. I got a Chevy Impala, LT so it has even more crap that I do not need and gets 17MPG (are… Continue

Hello fellow Smart owners. We are new to the club but have been an owner of Smat cars since 2007. We are on our second. (had a 2005 before) Our Smart Cabrio is named Kiwi! We would like to know who is going to KC next month. I would like to arrange a caravan. I've been recently talking to John to get everything needed. (Paul at the Smart dealership showed me the pic of BumbleBee's eyelashes. Those are GREAT!) Looking forward to meeting everyone! Call me anytime at 303-250-5505 or Russ at… Continue

Planning on attending Nationals in June. Heading down Thursday, hope to get there in the afternoon or early evening. I'm still checking all the sites for meeting places on the way down to maybe hook up with others. Still haven't finalized agenda or whose coming with yet. Hope the weather will be great for this!!

We had a warning light on the dash back in February, took the car in to the dealer, took them a week to try to figure out the problem, which they did not (we have 23,000 comuter miles on the car). They had a code for a bad fuel injector on #2 cylinder, so they switched the #2 injector with the #1 injector, light went out, we picked up the car. Several weeks later the light was on again (March 12). After 3 weeks of " we don't know what is wrong", Smart USA told them to remove the head. A week… Continue
