is there a Smart in Idaho club?

Has anyone experienced after a rainstorm, water that retains in the rear hatch/liftgate that is difficult to drain completely--possibly causing rust in that area?

Yesterday I took my little car in for service. I had a few small issues, nothing extreme. My tire light wouldn't go off for a few days; the parking brake, which I had replaced a few months ago, wasn't holding the car, and was discovered to need adjustment; often I remove the key and it beeps a warning, even though lights and wipers and such are off; and on occasion, it bucks like a little bronco, for no reason. They fixed the brake and tire pressure, and noted the beeping problem, which smart… Continue

Anyone had any experience with any of the "run flat" tyre fillers that you inject via the air valve. I know the smart doesnt come with a spare so just wondering which (if any) run flat filler i should carry. Biggest concern is whether it is safe to use haveing the tire pressure monitoring system.

I have the passion cabriolet. Where is the coin holder? Is it the two slots next to the gear shift handle?

They are FLUSH MOUNTING and are bolted on.

Is anyone out there aware of a source for a reasonably priced left rear quarter panel for a 2009 Red Passion? Mine got hit (and run) in a parking lot (I had it a whole 2 weeks to the day-didn't even have permanent tags), and I need to replace the panel. No offense, but the dealer price is a bit high.....maybe someone has spare panels? Thanks!

i HAVE BEEN tryn to see if my smart really is good on gas. I dont drive it everyday but i have filled it up i thnk 3times. first time i notice that i didnt get the expected mileage, like 22mpg. but that was before i learned to drive it. and i jus read some stations gas is different. Now i drive manuelly and less a/c when desireable. With this last fill-up 8gallons supreme GAS, i got 65mile with 1 notch off the gasometer. Wow! i was amazed!!

Well boys and girls, I traded in my SMART. Oh, it was cute. It got great gas mileage. My problem was service.
1. I lost my keys. I called the dealer and they told me I had to drive to the dealership (60 miles away) and for me to bring my drivers license and registration (locked in car). I finally get up there (a friend drove me) and then I find out that they have to special order it. My son had the other set in New Orleans. He had to Fed Ex the keys so I could get my car home. TWO MONTHS… Continue

My car arrived on Saturday, Aug. 15, and I am really enjoying it. There are a few things that I noticed with my car that other owners have written about. I've put 225 miles on it in two days. It was very windy on the drive home and the car was blown around a bit. Combine a new car, a new way of driving, high driving speed (65mph), and wind --- my arms were tired from the fight two hours later! I filled the tank yesterday and calculated 36 mpg. I'm sure that will improve after I learn how to… Continue
