Today was the CenTex smart-B-Que and Ice Cream Social. My son went with me and we were the first lonely ones there until our new friends Roy and Laurie showed up in there Glitter Red smart (from Round Rock smart).
Did you know that, according to Laurie, the Glitter Red smart came with the "auto assist turn into EVERY Walmart" power steering option? It's a beautiful color and the two "specialty" colors stood around admiring each other.
Did you know that… Continue

I got my car late August and I now have 1700+ miles on it. I drove to Albuquerque, NM from Las Cruces, NM yesterday to be here this weekend for a NM Smart Rally. I LOVE MY CAR, but--it takes me 2x's longer to go to the store or just for a drive because everyone wants to see it and talk about it. I took my car to Roswell, NM to see my family there and my 11 yr old grand daughter fell in love with it. I took it to her school the next day and my car was Show and Tell that day. 20 11 yr olds were… Continue

Well Smart Fans...at 3250 miles I had my first repair made on the Lost Skate, a small sensor in the secondary air system. The Check Engine light illuminated steady about a hundred miles back so I called for an appointment. Scheduling was easy at the dealer in Riverside, CA. (Walter's Mercedes) and the experience was good but a bit unusual.
I did insist on an oil change, living in the desert where even the best filtration is suspect, they thought I was nuts. I've grown up on oil… Continue

I can’t believe SMART has discontinued Yellow.
I want a Yellow Smart.
I am sure there are others out there that want Yellow also.
I am going to call the dealer and order 100 sets of Yellow panels, start my own private Yellow Smart distribution shop, any one want to get in?

My check engine light came on at 4200 miles. Has anyone else had a problem with their car? The dealer told me it was a common problem & he replaced a "switch." That's all the information I got.

It happened at the grocery store. I even moved it to another spot and just as soon as I walk away, it would go off. Then I didnt have any problems for 2-3 weeks until...Today, at work, after being there for 3 hours, it decided to go off. No one was around. It was not windy or rainy. I would unlock the car and it would start up again. I really don't need the alarm on when at work. It is pretty safe there but I need to lock it. I would hate to have my garage door opener and CDs stolen. How can I… Continue

Penske should not allow dealers to sell orphans for an excessive profit with a bunch of add-ons that nobody wants. They should sell the orphans to the reservation holders. This would cut the wait time by twenty years. AND THEY SHOULD GIVE ME 2 FREE SMART CARS!

If you own one of the imported from Europe Smart ForTwos (model 450) and are trying to sell it, here are some helpful hints from a person (me) that has bought two Euro Smarts:
1) There were only 1026 imported by G&K Auto. G&K converted them to meet United States DOT and EPA requirements. Make sure you mention yours is one of the 1026.
2) Check ASmartCar.com
's listings to see what similar models are priced at. It is a pretty… Continue

My husband has a white/black orphaned cabriolet which he bought last April. Two weeks ago, he had to call roadside service because the battery was dead. We really do not know why it was dead. The car was in our garage over the weekend. Do you guys know what is involved to expose the battery of this car for jumping purposes or for any reason at all? Well, the roadside service had been very helpful to us. It took a while to jump the car because it still would not start. Later on, we found out… Continue
