Professional skateboarders Kilian Martin and Alfredo Urbon showcase the fortwo in a skate film like none you’ve ever seen before.
As some of you may be aware, this unique museum will be closing for good in a few months, with the entire collection being sold off. The microcar-minicar group on Yahoo! is organizing a final museum visit:
Yes we are going back one last time. Nov 16-18 2012. Come bring your car and take pics of it there before the places closes. We will spend all three days visiting the museum. And getting one last look at the cars. Of course we will do some drives in the country side…

Have you ever heard of “yarn-bombing?” It’s is a type of graffiti or street art that uses colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fiber rather than paint or chalk.
Artist, Donna Rutledge-Okoro, took her yarn-bombing talents and decided to cover a smart from bumper to bumper. The decorated fortwo was featured at the Birmingham Museum of Art. Check out these photos of the “wrapped” smart.…Continue

Rushlane recently reviewed the fortwo as a commuter vehicle. The article states that due to the car’s fuel efficiency, compact design, and price it is an economical alternative to public transportation. Do you use your smart as a commuter vehicle? How does it serve your needs?
I wrote this back in September 2011 when I was just past 5000 miles.
I've got about 5200 miles on mine right now. My longest drive was back in June, when I lived in DC. I drove about 92 miles total, with maybe 3/4 of that drive being at about 55 mph on the DC Beltway. I was really afraid of not making it home, so I tried to plug-in mid-day. I was able to plug in for about 2-3 hours, but had to use an extension cord and a 120V…Continue

These were my comments from April 2011 (3 months into driving the smart electric drive). Keep in mind that the next generation may have already addressed these suggestions.
So I've been driving the car for about 3 months. Here are my consolidated suggestions/desires so far.
1) Increase the max speed. I know it may tax the battery, but if I could go about 70mph then I would not annoy so many people on the highway.
I posted this on the Team 250 site over a year ago. For those of you interested in the 3rd Generation smart electric drive, it does look like they took a lot of our initial feedback to heart. We'll see what the price tag looks like (hopefully very soon).
January has never been my favorite month... I hate the cold weather... but this year (2011) 27 January was special. Let me back up a bit...

Everyone knows their smart is unique, but have you ever wondered just how special each vehicle actually is? Every model, every color and every accessory has a special alpha numerical code.
Here’s the code for a future special edition coming to the US: P79. Use the attached Excel doc to see which model it is and the specs it includes.…Continue
Kobe Bryant and 50 other smart owners came together in Shanghai to celebrate China’s first smart times event. The Asian market is growing quickly, delivering it’s 10,000th car on August 19th (which was 3 months earlier than 2011).

"I no longer own this smart car. We needed more room, so we moved up to a Fiat 500. I still miss it, though!"
