My husband and I just picked up our little black and yellow smart yesterday, Oct. 30, 2008. We fell immediately in love with it. (It actually winked at my husband - must be a girl car).
I looked at one of the blogs from June and got help finding a cargo management system. I felt the dealer was too pricey. One blog suggested U-haul's Rola large organizer. I measured the cargo area and this will fit like a custom made organizer. Thanks to whoever suggested it. Just saved me… Continue

I am looking for a template so that I can design and wrap my new Smart 481Flex. I have not received the car yet, but should be here Nov. 22nd. Prior to showing my clients and staff the car, I would like for it to be wrapped. I have a design team and would prefer to create the wrap myself vs. the companies that are online. Thank you for your time and have a great day!

I have driven the orphan at the dealership and it's a nice car. I have until the end of the day Friday to make a decision to purchase the car or wait until February for the one I configured. The 2008 has more options on it than the 2009, but I may still turn it down in favor of the 2009.
Aside from the obvious of "Now or Later" dilema, I am also battling with a decision of how to buy it. I already have a 2008 Prius that I am currently paying for. I don't want to make two car payments… Continue

Getting our car tomorrow ,can't wait . We will only get to use the car for a short time , as we will be leaving to travel for the winter (snow birds) I have rented a storage space to store the car , for this winter ,this storage space is not climate controlled , just will be high and dry. Any advice on storing the car for say like 4 months. I plan to take the battery out & store it in warm place.

I received a call yesterday that an orphan showed up Yellow/Black Cabriolet with Black Leather comfort package just like the one I originally entered when I joined the reservation program. The only difference from the original is that the dealer added a racing stripe (added a few hundred dollars to the price). I will be looking at the car today with my wife to see if i will buy it.
A couple weeks ago I officially configured my 2009 smart. I ordered (since yellow has been… Continue

Call Allison at the Dallas dealership and she should be able to help you. Like I said my information was going into the "spam" folder. I was told most of the "Yahoo.coms" were dropped into "Spam" and the dealership were personally calling those with reservations. If she can't help call the 800 number (sorry I don't have it handy).
I have a friend who lives in Sherman.
I pray you get the information you need. You are going to love the little car. A word of advise ... the little car… Continue

It was in May of 2007 that I saw an ad and put my $99 down for a cute little car. Now after a 17 month wait (first configuration notice lost in "Spam"). Buttercup arrived here in Dallas, TX on October 23rd and I drove her home Saturday October 25th.
She is a joy! I thought I heard her little tires go thumpity, thumpity in her excitement when she saw me.

Has anyone added a Sub-Woofer to their Smart after delivery? How big a difference in sound quality did it make? Anyone have one for sale from an upgrade??

I got my smart in the middle of August and I am very satisfied with everything about the car. Not one negative experience with it, and it continues to offer surprises. I have consistently gotten better mileage than it is rated at, and the higher the octane I put in the better it gets.
Starting a week ago, my tire pressure warning started to come on for the first few blocks on my way to work in the morning as the temperatures have been falling to frost point and below. After a few… Continue

Ran over a highway-gator,pieces of truck tires, one morning.Pulled out the rear valance and broke the mounting bracket behind it.Purchased the bracket for 15 dollars at Herb Chambers in Somerville ,MA.Two screw hold it in and the valance popped back into it's grooves.

I received a call from the dealership that a buyer had backed out on the purchased and I could take his place. I was originally scheduled for delivery in July of 09. The car they have available is yellow. Is there anything I should be aware of and looking out for? Short amount of time but any advice would be appreciated.

After four months of ownership I continue to be enthusiastic about this car. The previous car is such a distant memory that it doesn't even occur to me that I had a larger car. This is so adequate to my needs that I don't even think of it as small -- with the exception of seeing it parked next to other cars. It makes me smile to see how appropriately sized it is. It is hard to describe why that is important to me.
Before I decided on this car (and waiting a year for it), I thought… Continue

1788 miles, and the dreaded CHECK ENGINE LIGHT came on. Called Roadside Assistance, who arranged a tow for tomorrow AM from here (Springfield, IL) to the nearest Smart Center (Plaza Motors in Creve Coeur, MO---100 miles away). I'm distraught! Just thought I'd throw this out here. (No, it's not---or shouldn't be---the gas cap put on wrong or too loosely.) *sigh*

Is it normal for the front wheel covers to get dirtier than the back wheels? Cleans up ok but wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.
Love our little "Annie" - only had to wait 5 weeks and this orphan came around. She is black and beautiful.
On problem, I sometimes have trouble driving her as my wife likes her as well.
