2011 smart

I just stumbled over the smartUSA sight yesterday and I saw the new slightly redesigned 2011 smart. I think the newly redesigned interior keeps its family resemblance but the upgrade looks great and are "smart"ly thought through. They are going to offer a good looking radio with navigation built in ambient lighting. Any other 2010 Pure owners have this problem?

Let me begin by saying that I have a Corvette in the garage and a new 2010 smart car in the driveway. Each car fills a particular niche in the automotive lobe of my brain. However, the vette has been out of the garage less than a dozen times since I bought the smart in mid-July. I do have a problem with my Pure that leaves me a bit perplexed with the attempts that have been offered me as a "fix".

New Speakers at last!

Ok, I may be late to the party in upgrading my speakers. I bought a pair of Polk Audio speakers last year and have been procrastinating in putting them. I'm been intimidated by taking the mirrors and panels off and then getting the speakers placed in correctly.

Well I did it today. The videos helped quite a bit in getting the mirrors and panels off. Found that you pull the handles off first before pushing the plug center out and pulling the plug out. Also found that when…

Steering wheel rubs legs

I just bought an '09 and it's impossible to get in and out without rubbing the steering wheel. I'm 5'11 so what does everyone do ? I love my car otherwise.

POOR GAS MILEAGE

I SPOKE TO A SMART CAR OWNER IN LADY LAKE FLA. ABOUT WHAT KIND OF GAS MILEAGE HE WAS GETTING WITH HIS SMART. OVERALL, HE IS GETTING ABOUT TWICE THE MILEAGE THAT I'M GETTING. 34 IS TOPS FOR ME, MOSTLY IN TOWN. WHAT GIVES. MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AUTOMATICS AND STANDARDS FOR OVER 50 YEARS.
