It was a cold one this morning..

It started at -14 outside the house this morning.  13 above inside the garage when I left for work but on my way to work the outside temp got to -20!  Ouch.  Never had any issues with "putt-putt" in the cold or snow.  The temps can only go up from here.

Smart Snow in Upstate NY (February 2009)

Yeah, I know that this was intended to be a Williamsburg, VA car, but we needed a vehicle, and the right orphan was available in Albany, NY.

For the past week, we have been driving the Smart ForTwo around the Syracuse, NY area, where we currently live. We are situated about 1500 feet above sea level. To visit us, is literally like driving straight up a hill.

Chicago Snow

Well, my little smartie was no match for the recent snow & ice in Chicago! After trying to get her out of the garage with about 6" of snow and a sheet of ice underneath, I enlisted my husband's help to push her back in and left her there for the duration. As I walked around town, though, I felt good that mine was not one of the many, many cars I saw spinning their tires, sliding sideways, or even denting their fenders just trying to navigate the side streets.
