I ordered a smart car back in March, I now find out you have stopped producing the yellow car. Driving such a small car yellow is the most visible color for any car. I thought Mercedes was all for safety & accident avoidance, this color is one of the best ways to promote it. My dealer says many people are upset about the color delete & hopefully you will hear from many other annoyed customers. I don't appreciate having to spend $ 810 to buy the panels & having to install them.

Bought me a 2009 yellow Pure today and I have to agree that it is a pretty cool color.

I heard it was more like $1800 for the panels and $350 to install them. Not sure why Smart decided to do away with this color. One dealer I talked with in Santa Barbara said that they called it the lemon and that might be one reason. Don't want to try and sell something that is called a lemon.

I hate to go against the grain here, but I was kind of glad when they cancelled yellow. It makes my car more unusual. However, I totally sympathize with those of you who also like the yellow and won't be able to get it. I am genuinely sorry. It's like a mean tease...here is the yellow, no wait! We're taking it away.

Yellow Rules. The best visibility out there and that's why I got it. At 8.5 ft long I knew I'd get lost in a lot of blind spots and knew I'd have to go white or yellow. My Yellow & Black Passion Coupe has been named 'Buzzy' (you all name your cars, don't you?) and I have just installed an almost full set of yellow dash trim from wooddashexperts.com. I say almost as there were a few locations I decided didn't need the trim so set those applications aside. If you are interested look at the yellow color as it is a perfect match to the USA yellow on your car. I sent for a sample first to be sure. These folks are great to deal with and also have a whole lot of other Smart after market 'stuff'.

I love my yellow SMART, don't understand it either!!!!! Yellow sticks out alot and helps those drivers that are not SMART to see you when they change lanes without looking or thinking!:)

Barbara,
I agree with you about the yellow color. I have a yellow one and that was the main reason I got it..so people could see me

I have a yellow one and totally agree that this color shouldn't be deleted. It's very visible on the highway, plus it's very sunny and bright and automatically makes people smile. Hope they keep it, Linda

Just went to our dealer to check on delivery date and he said YELLOW was the most asked for colour and if we wanted to change colours it would be no problem...no idea then why they cancelled it
