At the gas station putting fuel in my lil smart someone asks,
Is that one of them electric cars?
Yep. I often enjoy putting gasoline in my electric car.
The first time they realized what they'd said. The second person then went on to ask,
Where is the battery?
I left it home today. That's why I have to put gas in it.

As many of us have heard,
What if you get hit by a truck?
I've been riding a Harley for years. No one has ever asked me about what if I get hit by a truck while riding my motorcycle. So generally I'll ask, "What if YOU get hit by a truck?" or I'll just tell them my other car is a motorcycle.

Another common question,
What is is?
It's a car! I was walking my dog one day when someone asked, "What is it?" And I said, "A dog." So it just seemed natural.

Can you drive it on the highway?
Nope. I drive on sidewalks.

Is that yours?
Nope. Just taking it for a joy ride and hoping the police don't find out.

Where is the rest of it?
I get it when I pay it off. { I stole this from online. Thought it was great and have used it several times now.}

And then there are those that remark about their own vehicle in comparison such as,
I get 12 miles to the gallon. Is that good?
Depends on who is paying for the gas.

Why would you buy something like that?
Because I can't afford to feed a gas hog.

These are just a few of the one's thus far. I'm sure there's others and there are sure to be more. Then again I'm sure these will fade as more smarts are on the roads.

This is Classic, Keep them coming! Most common those with trucks Say "I could put this in the back of my truck and use it as a spare tire!" Then i usually fire back with "Well sir they do make roof rack attachments for the top of your car that the smart will attach too" , "Well how do you get it up there?" Here's your sign.

I get all the time from big burley guys "Will I fit?" Some have even just taken it upon themselves to jump right in and see if they will. Unbelieveable stuff. To the question, I usually answer, no your head might be too big. And that usually leaves them scrathcing their head as I drive off. :) Have any of you gotten hostile comments?? I do all the time, like people are pissed off. It is very strange.

I had a Smart Aleck gas station attendant ask me "Has anyone ever tipped over your car"? i replied "Oh no. You mean it can be done"? his comeback "Oh yeah get three guys together, and rock it enough to tip it over". I then in a smirky tone of voice replied "I suppose you have done one right"? All he could say is " Well actually no i never have. "
Some guys are such jerks.

At Hardees drive up the girl at the window asked me, "Is that a Scooter or Something?", I replied it was a real car.

This one is not a question but someone made the statement "I hear they are banning those things from the interstate because they are so small". I paused and then pointed out that motorcycles are smaller and they arent banned, they were a bit embarrassed. funny how some people feed off these rumors, they dont care if they are true or not; they just like repeating them.

People love to tell me "it only has two seats" (as if it's the only two seater car ever built). I always reply "the most important seat is mine; anyone else who gets to ride is lucky." ;)

When they ask me "Where's the rest of the car?", I tell them it's on backorder.

At the gas station someone asked me if it ran on air. I repied yep, and kept pumping the gas.

After answering several questions, and stating that the engine is in the back, I was asked if I was afraid of the gas fumes...to which I replied...I left my husband home.
