for want of a clip, the headlight was lost

While attempting to replace the headlight bulb, I dropped the little clip that holds it.  I have searched the front end compartment thoroughly and can not find it.  I looked under the car, no luck.  I went to the dealer for a replacement, and they want to sell me the whole headlight assembly ($225).  Anyone know how I can get a new clip or rig something up?.  i'm searching junk stores and craigslist and ebay but no luck.  Thanks

Get a friend, a BRIGHT flashlight, and a long thin dowell with a ball of tape on the end. I did the same thing, and it was in there! (Friend  holds flashlight.) Good luck!

I had the same thing happen. Call Smart Madness, they have a few spares and were only $13.00 w/s&h for a pair. My dealer wanted $600.00 for a headlight replacement.
