This is a blog about everything that has been done, modifications and accessories, to my smart car.

My windshield is tinted. There was a concern about placing any "window" stickers on the tint film. I believe I have a solution. The 2008 Annual Metropark pass must be attached to the inside of the windshield which would mean "sticking" to the tint film. What I did was "stick" the annual pass to a flat wrinkle-free piece of Saran plastic wrap. Then I trimmed the excess Saran wrap around the annual pass. It does not 'cling' well at this point. I then sprayed water onto the face of the annual pass, pushed it against the windshield and squeegee it flat (no air trapped). Squeezing out all air and water. It has been on the windshield for 8 days now. So far so good. I will keep this blog updated as to the performance of this type of application.

The 2 camping chairs just fit into the cargo area.
These chairs are rated to 300 lbs. and better engineered than most 225 lbs rated chairs.
I purchased the Red/Black chairs to match my smart car. I wanted to have them embroidered, but camping chairs are not designed to let you do that. But I have an idea to beat the system. Stay tuned!

Bob, this rocks ... so far I have replaced the stock exhaust with a Thorley and added a louder horn to mine, but I want to get my wheels powdercoated and windows tinted. It really helps to have some cost references ... I also like the small antenna, but does the reception suffer a bit?
Thanks, tobias

I will be continuously updating this blog. Trying to put all the information about any modifications or accessories for my smart. I'm including my cost and company/supplier web links if available. I hope this information may be valuable and helpful to other smarties.

As I review this blog I may re-write some of the remarks. So stay tuned!

Thank you very much for the information. My dealer is asking me to choose more expensive options and you have saved me some money on a couple of things I am considering.

Nice blog! It is quite a transformation. Thanks for the antenna idea. I have been using a car cover and the original antenna is super annoying to get around because it is so close to the mirror.
