Surburban idea was too funny. :) I don't want my car out in the open either because one of my husband's clients(live in San Antonio Tx) told him that her co-worker's Smart was flipped over until it landed on the top part of the car. She walked out to her car getting ready to go to work, just happened couple of weeks ago... It upsets me just thinking about it!!!!!

Better check the floor weight restrictions on one of those tough sheds, I would think 1800lbs would be too much.

Suburbans are pretty cheap right now- buy one and park your smart inside!

thank you all for you comments.... right now i am considering hiring a contractor and building a small shed, nothing fancy... with a sloped roof....(snow in utah!)... but the size is 8 x 10.... i will look into the rubbermaid tuff shed... just have to figure out how to make sure it will stay put in the winds of winter.....

Yea, depending on where you live I suggest getting the smart inside. I had gummy bears thrown all over my new beetle one night and they melted. Not a fun situation.

Funny you should post this....I went and looked at a Rubbermade Tuff Shed 8x10....I have to measure the length again...but I think the car will fit pulling straight in. That is one of my options!

these are around $110. might be a tight fit getting out, but you could always have it folded back, park the car then fold it out.

I used a tent from the local Sam's club one year, but it blew over in the spring and I would not repeat that. For my smart, I now live in a condo with no garages, so I bought a car cover from my dealer for 109.00. Now I can just throw it in a bag over night.
