Well, this is a first! I was waiting to make a right turn onto a rotary circle and the car coming around the circle began to stare at Maxwell! He wouldn't take his eyes off of us and the next thing I knew, he slammed into the curb and jumped up on the grass! He sat there a few minutes and then drove back off the curb and pulled to the side of the road. I felt so bad that we caused him to have trouble. I finally turned the corner and slowly approached him as he assessed the damage to his Honda. I said I was sorry, and he said, "Oh no! I just couldn't take my eyes off your excellent car! It was entirely my doing, not yours." He said he had never seen such a cute car! He waved and I drove off. I still felt badly for him to have suffered a mishap on our behalf. I hope they get used to us soon! Barb

Today I drove by an amish buggy. Not usually a big deal but this time I noticed that they looked at the smart like everybody else. They turned and stared. If they could have looked around the buggy I think they would have.

So sorry for them but it's kinda to be expected. I mean, our car is kinda like a paradigm shift for many people and they can't believe their eyes. We are Compact and Forward Thinking.

Boy do we challenge this for many people - "A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them."
