Today was the CenTex smart-B-Que and Ice Cream Social. My son went with me and we were the first lonely ones there until our new friends Roy and Laurie showed up in there Glitter Red smart (from Round Rock smart).

Did you know that, according to Laurie, the Glitter Red smart came with the "auto assist turn into EVERY Walmart" power steering option? It's a beautiful color and the two "specialty" colors stood around admiring each other.

Did you know that the Glitter Red smart has powder coated black smart emblems? Too cool! When the twins, 2 blue convertible smarts, showed up we felt like it was a party.

As you can see from the picture, Alex and Alana had to add something special to tell their smarts apart. Alana has the beautiful blue leather seats and both have specialty license plates holders. Fred and LoriAnn showed up with their blue convertible making it blue convertible triplets! Fred has a Cowboys emblem on their smart so there is no mistaking their smart.

We were still lonely until Sandy showed up with her white smart

but we were still lonely until Kendall showed up in his white smart with red interior.

Soon after, the food began to cook on the grill, the tent was up (don't ask how we did it 'cause we don't know), and my son tried to get people to play poker.

Sandy talked up a possible Poker Run for October and Rmichael talked up a Braille Rallye for November. Keep you eyes open, this club is on the move!

Well, yep. CenTexsmartclub.com is the central Texas smart car club and everyone is welcome. Our next event is a Poker Run on October 18th. I'll post on this site but keep your eyes open for start time and location. Also, keep the date of the Braille Rallye open, Nov 15th, we'd love to have y'all.

Thanks SmartGurl! I was not the planner of this event though. Mostly Alana and Sandy from CenTex smart Club did the planning. We keep having a nice little turn out for our events. What happened to the 25 smart cars? We really gotta have about 20 cars for our Braille Rallye in November. I hope we make it. Martha and Sandy from CenTex smart Club are planning our October Poker Run, that should be a blast!

Too bad I could not have showed up, grant it, my kia would have been totally out of the picture. LOL. No worries, maybe I be at the next one. Though, I might start working nights here soon, which would make it easier to attend such a function, but miss the Tuesday nights each month. :(
