I am fed up with Smart. I was in a bad accident with my car and they fixed everything they could. I had a huge list of issues after I got my car back. I then addressed these issues to the Fairfield Collision Center. They said that they would fix the issues. I did not notice a thing changed to fix my car besides a dent in the roof rail. I am very disappointed and am starting to hate Smart now. I was probably the most dedicated Smart car owner of all time too and if you beg to disagree, you have no idea who I am so don't deny my past. Anyhow, try not to get into an accident with your Smart because you will get very crummy service. If my issues are not fixed soon, I feel a lawsuit coming on.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, and i as well agree that you should take up this issue with Liberty Mutual, as well id be seeking a serious lawsuit aganst the guys who were working on your car, or better yet, email the folks at Pennske . It sounds like somebody is screwing with you to be really blunt. Id then seek another Smart center for future work if at all possible.

Sorry about that! Just too many Fairfield's. But seriously if you are close to your dealer I would contact them. After all they have a vested interest in making sure you are happy. Good luck and have fun in the snow this winter. We have to drive an hour to see the white stuff anddeal with all the skiers from San Francisco passing by our burb going to ski

Brett so sorry about your accident. When I was in a fender bender I told my insurance that I wanted Neillo Collison to take care of it since they are the Smart Dealer around here. Alothough it took a long time. Ordering parts and this being one of the first they have worked on they wanted to make sure everything was just right. They did a fabulous job and it is just like new again. I would ask your insurance company if it is possible to transfer the work up there if you are here in Fairfield CA. I have always used Watson's for other issues on other cars, and found them very satisfactory. If you do go to Neillo ask for Garrett. He has learned alot about working on Smarts. Again I hope you can get things worked out OK very soon

UPDATE: I think they did a better job then I set them out to do. They did fix the rim, but it feels like what they fixed it with. The door still feels like crap, but I guess I can live with it. When I drive, I sometimes hear vibrations in the door. They did a great job with the foot well of the car that was messed up. I don't hate Smart, but disagree with the CC of some of the stuff that they did like switch the front and rear tires. That is just down right stupid. I still love my Smart car, but these mistakes should never happen again. Accidents really stink. To Julie, the insurer did recommend the FCC because they are overseen by Smart to do the repairs and finding another shop around is going to be hard.

I'm assuming you were not injured in the accident. Maybe the smart was your blessing there. You do need to speak with your insurer. They should be able to help you. Sounds like FCC is a place we wouldn't want to take a bicycle to for repairs. Did you dealer recommend FCC? Do they have a body shop they can refer you to? Best of luck to you.

I think it has to do with the type of shop you are dealing with, let's face it some are very good but most of them are very bad, a car can be fixed as good as new but it depends on the damaged and the guys fixing it, the car has nothing to do with it, other than it is the one that got hit. Poor guy. (the car) Well I guess the owner too.
