Last Friday, I stopped to buy beer for the weekend. Upon walking out of the store i discovered a gay man hugging and kissing my car. He said, "I love your Smart Car." I want one so bad. He asked his friend to take a picture of him with my car. His friend, after a few minutes, got him to peel himself from my car. Sounds like a fib, but it's 100% true.

I've had Arthur Puddlejumper III for 10 months now and I've always had people approach me asking questions. Parking lots at stores primarily, At Sam's I always have somebody approach me with questions while I load my purchases in the back. Primary question is always "will all of that fit"?! I've given everybody all the time they want to look inside and out, answered questions and usually end up with the standard "go on the website, put in your order and wait or get on the orphan list" line. For the true car geeks I'll open up the engine cover and pop off the nose. It's fun sharing my knowledge about Arthur and his siblings and it doesn't take THAT much time out of my schedule.

Hey John...The least you could have done was to offer him to blow your tail pipe...

I was at the grocery store the other day and had a feeling I was being watched, I was, I waved and the lady smiled but that was it she just kept watching me load my things. As I pulled out of the parking spot I looked in the mirror and saw her running after me pushing her cart so I stopped and she said I have to have one of those cars it is so much nicer than my golf cart. I gave her a card from my dealer and said call them and good luck. Drove home laughing about that one.

I was having a late lunch and was sitting in a booth that gave me a view of my smart about 40 feet away. While I was eating, a couple of guys that had been talking on the sidewalk across the street walked over, and took turns being photographed with my cabrio [no name yet, btw] on their cell phones...they went back across the street and were still talking when I left the restaurant, unlocked it and opened the top, climbed in, and took off. Seemed like nice guys, business suits and all, so I wasn't exactly feeling threatened.

At lunch time two days after I bought my car, I heard a man yelling, "hey, hey, hey, man." I said, "what"? He said, "where'd you get that. I want to get one for my wife." I said Park City Smart Car. He stopped, got out and walked around my car as I ate lunch at Chick Fillet.

I went inside a gas station to pay for my gas and noticed an attractive woman. When I went outside, I saw the woman taking pictures of my car with her cell phone. She noticed me and was embarrassed. She said, "I thought my car (VW Beetle) was the smallest. I take pictures of cars smaller than mine.
