Anybody have a nav system installed. Did you get the dealer to do it? Did you do it yourself. Which model is the best one? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I got the JVC nx7000 and love it! I had the dealer install it through a local car audio shop they partner with. I got over charged on the install but worth my time and aggrivation. $1,700 installed and includes DVD, hands free bluetooth, Sirius, and SD card reader.

Also has option for back up camera but I opted out for that. It also is one of the few, if only, 2 DIM (7") units with a detachable face plate. See a pic on My Page. There's a review video on YouTube, just search for the model number.

Another thing. If you do buy online, Stay away from CAMERA GIANTS. Good deals but they get you in the end for extra things you don't really need to get and add on extra stuff that was not in any fine print no where.

I bought a Pioneer AVIC 90BT off line. I got the adapter for the power from my smart dealership along with the new Bezel, and anntena adapter. Took, me about 20 min to prep the Radio with the new harness, and the Bezel.
Took me about an hour taking my time to get a clean install. Real easy to do it yourself if you have the time, patience, a Torx 25 and have read the way to take the Radio out ahead of time. You can save yourself anywhere from $400 - $1000 doing it yourself. Dealers mark up the Nav units more then double what you can buy them from the web. Good luck.
