Do the 2009's already have the upgrade or no?

have it done. I did and it is smoother. Does nto change MPG, just makes shifting smoother and the paddels shifters are easier to engage and disengage. Do it when you have service unless you live close by and make sure you schedule it first.

Hey it was free, Lincolnwood of Illinois did not try to sell me anything. the paddle shifter change was definitely worth the trip. It completely changed how I use the shifters going into a corner when I want a good gear coming out of the corner. It is a good software upgrade.

We had the upgrade done about 6 weeks ago. I like the ease of use of the paddle shifters. They also upgraded the battery, checked for and cleared any problem codes in the computer. No charge, just good service at Indy. All is well at this point.

Depends what you need. I had the upgrade and latest campaigns plus the 10K check minus the oil change (which I did myself) and it was no charge.

The up grade is well worth it. Does not cost you any thing, Take the time to have it done. With the up grade the shifting is much smoother. My dealer was very easy to work with because I had made a reservation

I never got a letter - but whether you got one or not there's only one upgrade. The dealer will have your vin number and will be able to tell what's needed. Everybody gets the transmission upgrade, all Passions and Cabrios get the paddle shift modification, cars with lots of options get the larger battery, everybody gets a correct manual, and most, though not all, cars get new vin and emission labels. I also had some warranty work done - the switch for the passenger seat heater needed to be replaced - and the guy installed my mud flaps.

It was the first time I'd ever been to a dealer, even though I've had my car for over a year. I bought it used (with 300 miles on it) from a private party last April. I took the car to Albuquerque (I'm at least 4 hours away from any dealer) and the whole experience was very positive.

No, no...the same offer, 2.0. But, I took my car in a couple of weeks ago, and only just got the letter telling me to come in for the upgrade this week. So, I'm not sure if the software upgrade I got is the 2.0, or if I need something more.
