Do you know your smarts's birthday?
I was wondering what day my smart was built. The door jam sports only the month and year. I stopped buy my smart dealer and asked the service rep if he could help. He jumped up, walked to a computer, then returned with a smile. He had the date. My car was built. February 8, 2008. He also found the date it arrived on U.S. soil. March 14, 2008. So if you want to give your smart a birthday party just check with you dealer.

I just looked at my 2009. On the drivers door opening, on the Tridion, there is a decal that has the Month/Year posted. Mine is 11/08. Didn't find the 'exact day' it was built, but I'm sure that your smart center could tell you. I know for a fact that with Chrysler products, the dealer can look up in their system and tell the EXACT PRODUCTION DATE.

..... isn't the car's manufacture date also shown on the door sill, where the gross weight and everything is listed?
