I'd like to have some feed back on Doug's twin tip exhaust. , the way it fits, performance, noise level and fittment?

I think the twin-tip is supposed to be quieter than the single one (I have had installed on my smart for a year now and love the extra power - about 10% more hp). If you like the quiet of the stock, I would not recommend this mod, but for me in mountainous Colorado the extra power has been worth it.

On short trips I just turn up the tunes a little louder or sometimes turn the stereo off altogether and listen to the engine. At highway speeds the wind and tire noise gets up to the same level of noise.

The fit of my side exhaust doug thorley was pretty good. Installation only took about an hour (toughest part was the removal ad re-installation of the cat heatshield.

I imagine for the twin tip you may need to cut the skirt with a dremel or similar. HTH, YMMV, t.

go to smartcarofamerica.com and look at the forum there for best investments in our cars and worst.. 8 out of 10 regret any exhaust mods.
