As many of us smart drivers know we seem to be treated a little differently on the roads. i.e. pulling out infront of us causing us to hit the brakes harder then we want or having to cut over to the next lane. Yeah you know what im talking about. Im sure most of us may flash the head lights or honk the horn to let them know what they have done, maybe have shaken a fist or two. Today a customer brought up the fact that the headlights are more narrow then a "normal size" car, making it seem that the smart is just farther away when someone is merging ahead of you. So while some drivers assume we are further back, there are still those who purposly cut in front, regarldess of the situation leave yourself an out! I hope this helps! Happy T day Yall

You got it Johnny! Although people should take a longer glance for a safer merge, we cant make them use more then just their mirrors. This was just an insight I thought I would share! Happy Holidays Yall

I believe since the car is narrower than other cars that it appears to be farther away to drivers who do not look carefully. Maybe an optical illusion. So many times people just glance at coming traffic before pulling out and don't realize how close we really are.

i'm not sure what said customer means. Yes.... the headlights are closer together.... but that doesn't really change the idea that people should notice the difference between a car being far away and up close behind them. With that logic, a motorcycle is REALLY far behind.
