A VERY UNIQUE Stereo Installation

Make sure you take a look at this VERY UNIQUE stereo installation Matt Boesch did for me. The custom amplifier enclosure sits in the trunk while the speaker wire, head unit component plugs, remote subwoofer volume control, power cable and ground cable plug into the outside of the enclosure so it can be unplugged and removed for easy access to the engine compartment. All the connections were placed behind the drivers seat so they are completely out of sight.

This is a fantastic build!  Great use of the sound dampening padding and I plan to use the sam on the engine cover.  I have a Pioneer radio and sub ready to go.  Just have to get the amp and have two speakers installed in the upper part of the door at install time!

Hi guys,
Thanks for the compliments!
I think the amp is pushing 80 watts times 4 to the 6 smaller speakers and 200 watts to the 8 inch sub under the dash. It's a 5 channel amp. Everything is at 4 ohms, I didn't bridge the amp or anything like that.
We also put some nice handles on the thing to get it out, the picture you see here isn't of the finished product (Take another picture Bill!! LOL!)
All and all I am happy with how it turned out, to service the engine you just un-plug and take it right out, takes like 30 seconds.
If anyone really wants one of these I might be willing to make another one, a warning, it is pretty labor intensive and not exactly cheap.
