Hey Robin850, I have the platform on my Smartie. Works great. I put one of those big white fishing coolers on it to pack stuff in when I drove to Nationals from Denver. The coolers fit perfectly! Depending upon how much weight you add though you have to adjust breaking and accelerating distances. Haven't had problems going cross-country in the mid-west, but the weight does hamper speed in the mountains.
