Without service, what good will marketing and sales do?  Has anyone tried to get service at a Mercedes Benz location lately?  I had the experience of being treated like a second class citizen as the service agents gave all their attention to Mercedes Benz owners.  I couldn't get the MB dealership to even answer the service phone today.  I was totally ignored for hours in a different MB dealership 2 days ago before giving up and leaving.  And the costs of service and parts is exorbitant.  $40 (32 labor +$6patch + tax) for a tire patch?  $44 for a can of tire sealant?  $185 for a tire ($125 tire + 45 mount + tax)?  I'll go elsewhere.  I feel I no longer have a dealership to turn to for parts or service.

Good article! Now if all those overpaid executive merchandise advocates can help market smart cars on TV, perhaps sales will jump up again. We can only hope!
