Smart Smootie has finally return to the World of "SMART".

Hello,

I has been a longtime since I have posted a blog for everyone to read. As I see everyone has alot of great things to say about the "SMART" Car.

I currently have over 80,000 miles on my "SMART" car and continue to go all the way to 6 figures.

During my experience with the "SMART" car, here has been my maintenance experience.

1) I had my oil pan replaced under warrenty

2) I had my alternator replaced under warrenty

3) I had my A/C blower replaced under warrenty

4) I had to replace a fog light shield cover not under warrenty.

5) I had to adjust my windshield wiper from slamming against my a-pillar (I think) not under warrenty.

NOTE: My warrenty goes to 100,000 miles.

Also, here has been my latest upgrades to my vehicle.

1) I had an K&G upgrade to my exhaust system. I does allow more air into the engine, but if you are plan to do this upgrade beware it will increase your noise when accelerating HARD.

2) I had installed the CD holder kit on the car. It look good and easy to access my CD.

With all these changes, my "SMART" car is still ticking along fine. I still get the stares from people who can't believe that I would drive a car like that. My work buddies make a lot of jokes, but I am the one who is laughing when it is time to fill up.

For those who just bought the "SMART" car for the first time, remember it is a car which can do whatever you want it to do. I have taken my car to Home Depot and loaded up wood, equipement, and whatever I need for my home. When the home depot people see me drive up, they always think I am crazy. After I adjust the seat and start loading the vehicle they see how big the "SMART" car can be. So remember not to limit your car's potential.

Finally, I am prepare to go the Woodard Dream Cruise in MI, if you want to see a large gathering of "SMART" lovers, you should come up here and enjoy the Woodard Dream Cruise experience. If you would like more details you should contact SmartCenter of Bloomfield, MI Dealership ask them about the details.

To end, remember to keep it "SMART"

i just have problems with rifles, objects over 3 feet in length are not easily fit inside a smart. and spud guns, but they are PVC, buy a few extra couplings and cut barrels in half.

i have a Solo exhaust, it's ok at 2000 rpms, tolerable at 2500 rpms, and torture at 3000+ rpms (i'll experiment with noise cancelling headphones in the future on road trips) should be fun on the 4 hour drive to the dells next june!

i'm curious why your oil pan and alternator had to be replaced, i'm approaching 26k miles, i've heard blower issues from other owners, and that there are owner fixes for this.

80,000 miles... rock on! it does have a mitsu engine and a getrag tranny, so i have faith the smart drive train should last 200,000 miles easily.
