squirrels ate it
I was sitting on my living room listen to nature and I suddenly heard two squirrels talking, shall we eat it here or take it back to our nest, much to my suprise they were talking about my smart car. They deside to eat it where they found it and did close to $1000 in damage. As funny as this sounds it s true event. Ask the atlanta smart dealer who is now repairing my lil smart. for anyone who is afraid of the same problems Home depot has something called ridder critter, put it in a stocking and tie it under the hood. problem solved. Had i know that before my problemI would not have had a problem. WAR on squirrels!! lol

A squirrel got my smartie on almost the same day. They also ate through half the main wire harness and some of the plastic parts and the hood strap. The dealer said about 550 to replace the harness or 400 to have it repaired. I'm having a hard time finding squirrel repelent that isn't urine based. For now, I sprinkle cayanne under the hood every week or so until I can find more suitable solution.

squirrels chewed the hell out of my balcony door, i'm on the 3rd floor. i invested in a crossman "classic" pellet pistol and a tin of copperhead hyper velocity pellets, needless to say, no more squirrel problems. i guess the other cars in my lot look better to them rodents than my lil smart (so far).

THEY GOT UNDER THE FRONT AND ATE THE WIRES AND HALF THE GRILL, ALMOST$1000 IN DAMAGE

Thanks for the feedback. We feed the birds out back just feet from the BB Benz parking space with lots of squirrel and chipmonk activity in the area. I'm hoping they prefer the ample supply of sunflower seed under the feeder to the fortwo.

well they ate the grill, all the wires to the headlight parking lights and to the sencor to the brakes. including labor was closeto $1000 in damage, needless to say, I declare war on squirrels
