I just bought an '09 and it's impossible to get in and out without rubbing the steering wheel. I'm 5'11 so what does everyone do ? I love my car otherwise.

I can't get my wife to rub my legs every day, so I'm not going to complain about my Smart...

I am 6'3" and weigh about 295. My 2009 is a Brabus coupe with the leather, but I think the seat measurements would be the same as the Pure. I have no problem rubbing the steering wheel at all. My seat is always all the way to the rear on the tracks. I have a bad back, so I have the habit of sitting down first and then swinging my legs in. So far, the steering wheel is positioned from the factory fine for me. Good luck with finding a comfortable solution.

As for wheels, check with the folks at Smart Madness; they have OEM alloy sets available.

Do you think the tracks can be loosened and lowered ? I can't believe everone is shorter than me. Also, I have the Pure ? the one without the nice wheels. Anyone know where I can get the factory type ? Thanks

Since the seat height is adjustable only by the inclined seat tracks, the only way to get it lower is to move it back from the steering wheel.
