The Wave

I went to St. John's Town Center the other day and as I was turning, I came across another Smart owner. I was so happy to see another one and even happier when they waved. It felt good and I wanted so bad to turn around and talk to them. Many times, in this city, the cars that pass by on the road are so far away that if they are waving, you can't see it. Whoever you were, I would love to have you join the club I am about to start for the Jacksonville area. This club is going to be a lot more active than the present club. Details to come in the next couple of days.

I personally would not own a car that I felt the need to bad mouth to others. I know the Smart Car has some issues. I owned a Ferrari Testarossa when I lived in Italy. That is an expensive car to own. That is also a car that had issues. I own a Corvette. They can have issues, but you will never hear me bad mouth either of the cars. The bottom line is, if you cared enough about it to buy it and you still own it, why not support it. It's okay to tell someone some of the problems they may run across but if bad things are the only thing you have to talk about, maybe the words of Thumper would serve you well..."If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I love my Smart Car and when it is out of warranty and I find myself with something I have to pay for out of pocket, I will pay for it out of pocket...just like I would if I had to pay for any other car that was out of warranty.

So if you ever see a yellow smart car parked outside of ULTA or MovieStop.
That is my car :D
