Tire Wear & Roof Checking (Little Cracks)

Is anyone else having these problems?

Tires - I recently had to replace my front tires at 20,000 miles due to cupping and excess wear on the inside. I had a four wheel alignnment performed ($99.95!?) which showed the front end only slightly out on one side, not nearly enough to have caused the wear. Could this be a design or specification problem?

Roof - The plastic roof panel has developed a "checking" problem all over. These are little cracks throughout the panel that weren't there for the first 18 months I owned the car. My smart Service Center said "They all do that." That may well be but could just mean they all have the same defect! Anybody had their roof replaced for a similar problem?

I'd appreciate hearing from others regarding their experience with these issues.

Thanks

Had the same problem with my roof. Small cracks started to appear on the edge and work inward. Took to the dealer and they replaced... no problem. Also at the time I only had the car for about 4 or 5 months

This has happened to several members of my JaxSmart group. seems to be a good reason for getting the solid roof.

My roof was replaced due to spidering while it was under warranty, the spidering happened fast, I truly believe it was defective. The second one is still in great condition. So far no problem with the tires, I do check them and fill them to specifications if need it, every two weeks. Good Luck!

If it is still under warranty they should take care of it.

I have almost 9,000 miles on mine with no cracks yet. Smart should pay for it if it is happening to all the cars, same with the tires.
