towing the smart behind a motor home
We just downsized and bought a Winnebago Via class A motor home. It is 26 feet long and will tow our Smart Car with no problems. We are looking for a dealer that has installed the base plate (either Blue-Ox or Roadmaster as they both have baseplates for Smart) on a Smart Car before. We are in Tucson , Arizona and it seems no one here has done a base plate on a Smart before. Also what are the steps to take in getting Smart ready to tow? Shift into neutral and disconnect the battery? Is that all? Thanks !

Hi Fran! Robert Crist and Co in Mesa have and will install the base plate and tow bar ... the service advisor we work with there is Bill. Super nice guy, he just took care of a new BRABUS owner for us this week. If we can be of additional help, let us know.
