You've got the spelling right, and yes - script in BLACK on the driver's door. No, I don't think I need a name on the passenger door, but I'm thinking maybe Poppy in script in the front under the logo, if possible. If not, just the name on the driver's door.
David sent you an email but don't know if you will get it. I just replied to the one I got about Lynnfield party? I sent my email: email@example.com...I was saying I wished I could have come and the decals sound such fun! Can you usually buy them? Everyone asking and enjoying the picures of the smartcars infront of CBI....maybe if you all have one in the fall I could take off and get to come....when we wouldn't be too busy....
I wish I could go. My only days off from work are Wednesday and Thursday. Saturday's I have to work from 7 to 3:30. I want to go, but I just can't. Have fun and let me know how it goes. Tell everyone I say hi. Sorry I can't go!!!
It looks like you all had a nice ride to Chatham on Saturday. The weather was a bit better than predicted. Wish I could have made it.
I received an email from Mary Powers at the Mt. Washington Auto Road, asking if we had come to any decisions about a date in August.
As you may recall from the price information that a sent on 1/27 the price per adult was $23.00 + 10% service fee and children were $11.50 and there was a commitment of 30 people. I believe a $600. deposit is required so advanced sales for this event would be needed. Also there was the possibility of a BBQ provided by Mt. Washington at another $12 to $16 per person depending on menu selected. Roughly totaling $35 to $40 per person. For two people $80 may be too much for a meal and a run up the mountian to see the sunset.
I have some cash that could be used to cover the deposit, but would want some firm commitments.
I have also considered just meeting at the base and going up with the general public. Price for car and driver is $23, adult passenger $8 (child 5~12 $6). Total $31. This may be more practical and should not require a deposit. We just would not have the place to ourselves. Also we would be off the mountain early enough that people could probably drive home at a reasonable hour.
The day might also include stops at the outlets in North Conway, The Conway Scenic Rail Way, The Mt. Washington Hotel, or a ride around the mountain seeing it from different views.
I am intrested in your thoughts.
Also my visit with my granddaughter was priceless.
It wasn't too bad going back as Pam had done alot before she left...I have told everyone how good you were, I wasn't kidding when I say I have had alot at the salad bar that can't take any directions and it makes my part more difficult! Have you ever done any work like that before? Had my pictures up in the diner today and regulars loved them...I did thought that guy talking to you was the one with the all black one seen around town...
Hope some day will be able to join you for a P-Town trip and then eat their, but we wouldn't have to work!!! LOL
Dave: Thanks. Sara is doing great. The reason I didn't join you is that Sara had just gotten home from the hospital and I needed to catch up on some things I had left undone over the past couple of weeks. I do, however, look forward to the 18th!
Was great getting to meet you and the other smart car owners today! Went out to pizza tonight and girl saw you all leaving on Rt 137! I told them the story...they got a kick out of it. Will be anxious to see tomorrow how many got to see us go through town. Sure wish it could have been a nicer day and wish the trees would have been in bloom to make everything as pretty as it is...Hey saw that a man came out of CBI to talk with you when we were just leaving...was he upset we were out there or was that the owner of a black smart car????? Forgot to ask you when we stopped at the pie shop????
I do know that one guy their owns one and once parked in front of the diner and I went to speak with him?
So glad I got a face now with who I am writing with...thanks for the help you were great, now you can get a part time job working with a sandwich bar...LOL
Next time. My comfort level for long rides is at rock bottom right now. I have an appointment at the Somerville smart for the engine light issue, maybe they will fit in the upgrade too? Did you get a letter yet about the smart 2.0 Check Up and upgrade?
Have you heard of other owners having issues with the Check Engine light? Four times now - first: Lynnfield replaced the gas cap seal, second: Somerville reset the light & ordered another gas cap, third: the light just went back off all by itself and fourth: it came back on Friday. There seems to be no connection to when I actually get gas. I'm more than a little frustrated. She hasn't hit 3,000 yet. Any thoughts?
You and I are sort of in the same business. I do vehicle Wraps as part of my Sign Business. We have finished five Smart Wraps and have several lined up. We don't sell advertising space but wrap for owners businesses. The Smarts sure do attrach attention.
I'm looking forward to the birthday bash! Are you sure they want us Rhode Islanders showing up for all the goodies?
I spoke briefly to one of the gals at Inskip (smart center warwick) about their plans for a party. It sounded like they really hadn't gotten very far in the planning although she thought it would be early May and perhaps a brunch, May breakfast sort of thing. And it seemed to me that they were thinking only in terms of their own customers. I could be wrong on all counts, though.
I also asked her about perhaps participating in some way on a Newport fun run. She wasn't particularly enthusiastic but then she's not in charge there. She suggested that I send email to the head honcho with a date and details. Any interest in doing Newport this season? I am not very good at organizing these kind of events since I know very little about restaurants but I am willing to do a lot of grunt work!
Last thing! What do you mean by getting the name of my car put on it? Sounds interesting? How's it work?
Just wondering if the cape run is still on April 4th.
We were looking forward to it,the first run of the year .
Interest looks low to date
If its on , are us northerner's still meeting at MAC,S ?
Hey been waiting for a note back about your all coming on April 4th...is it still on and if so do you have any idea how many? Local newspaper wants to know as they will send a guy to take photos that afternoon...thanks!!!! Sandi
Sue had mentioned in the email that they will be going to Sandy Neck first and eating at a restaurant then on to Harwich and then Chatham. That is fine with me as long as I get to go with you somewhere!!! When you know about how many are coming would you email me as I want to call the local newspaper to see if they want to come over and take pictures. If they don't since it is a Saturday I will get someone to take some and then put it in myself or my ad! So excited and telling the regulars at the diner.....
my email is : firstname.lastname@example.org just put your name in the subject so I will open it...thanks can't wait to meet you all.
