Hi Angel, I am John T. a Vietnam Veteran I served on the
USS Oriskany cva-34 in 65 & 66. Now the "MIGHTY O" has been sunk in the Galf of Mexico to be the largest man made artificial reef.
My wife & I got "MY BLUE PASSION" on June 6th 09. We started the N W Arkansas Group we like to take DAY trips once a month , Oct.'s was to L.R. for a check up at V A.
Angel...thanks for yours of July 27th. In April of '09, I sold my little huggable yellow Smartcar to a couple from Seattle and replaced it with an '09 white/silver cabriolet. I really love this little minx...but I got better gas mileage with the Benz engine than I do with the Mitsubishi engine. Vida
Hey i been looking at your pictures of "Blue Belle" and you have as many pictures as i do of "Mr. Blue". I had my car for seven months, and i still get wowed over the car. I have yet to see how he takes a snow covered road, but according to the weatherman, there is some expected on tuesday, not that i want to go out in it, but if i was ever in the postion to have to, id like to know if ti can do the job. I do have that first service coming up in 3.000 miles, and hope to have the means to do the service the first time. You know how it is, brandnew ride it needs to be well treated. Anyway look forward to seeing some more pics of ther car.
Hi Angel! I am going crazy.I thought I was sening you a message back and I responded to my own question.Oh well, thanks for letting me know other people are having the same problem. Thanks for the thumbs up on the flames. They were my husbands idea.I think they came out good.I will try to add you when this problem gets fixed. If it keeps up I will call Smart and ask What's Up!!! CRACKERS
Smartcenter called me on Tuesday. The truck hauling my car is supposed to come in today. I am assuming it came in thru Houston ... just ahead of Ike. Should have it next week! Almost missed it. My spam filters were catching the email notifications!
Hello Angel, I hang out at SCOA more than here but glad I found your profile here. Is the Dazed and Confused a reference to the movie? Even though I went to school in NC I feel like I knew all those folks in the movie! Good to read a little more about you.
Missed your post from awhile back! I don't get to this forum as much as SCOA! Yeh, the travel for us now is the camper van, but I did the biker thing way back when, also! :>) Started out in '81 with a Suzuki GS550L, then moved up to a Harley Low-Rider (AMF), then back to a Suzuki GS850L, then a '82 Honda Gold WIng Aspencade (my favorite)! Actually did the "biker club" thing for awhile.....the "Alabama Highwaymen", an off-shoot of the "Detroit Highwaymen." That was with the Harley. Then the Gold Wing Road Rider's Assc. with the wing! I sometimes wish I had a bike still on really nice days. Plus, we have a lot of friends that are just getting into it and are always wanting us to get a bike so that we can go with them. I really enjoyed it when I was doing it, but I think I've 'kinda passed that point now. As you've said on the forum......"Ride like you're invisible!" Stay safe!
Sounds like you had a nice time at the ball game. Made even better knowing Blue Belle was safe.
I LOVED the pot and kettle. I wish I had seen Tommyk's blog. Smart is going to shut this sight down if some people don't start playing nice.
Hi, Friend! I read your ASL response about signaling other SMART drivers and wonder if you could resend it without the SCOA logo/banner whatever? I couldn't make out the printing underneath (SCOA obscured it), and it LOOKS like the signs are "smart" and "1." Right?
Yes, what was the story with your windshield? Mine got hit by a rock near Prescott, AZ last week, and I'm getting it replaced in Chicago on Monday. (I was born in Dallas, but that was YEARS ago -- haven't been there since a rowdy Halloween party back in the 1980s.)
