I am seriously considering selling my 2008 Cabriolet to purchasing the 2014 EV. Does anybody have any recommendations on the newer model?

The electric dive is an excellent choice for those that can live with its range limitations.  A lot of us can't so it is not an alternative, but it's still a smart and that's a good thing.

It's no doubt the best smart yet in terms of drivability. I get about 80 miles per charge both city and a little freeway so if you have a short commute it will be absolutely perfect for you. It doesn't take long to charge either... using a 240 that is.

Regen paddles are a must have option, LED Daytime Running Lights are another must have as they make your smart 1000x cooler and more visible, adds presence to your small little car.

0-60 in 9 seconds using kickdown mode. It is very quick off the line and has plenty of power at any speed below 84 (limiter)

8,090 miles on mine, 9 months of having it, not a single problem, car has been flawless and an absolute blast to drive. Im driving it way more than i should. One of the best electric cars available i'd say.
