It's hard to tell in a video.... but i honestly have to say that i don't think that sounds really that much different than the Brabus exhaust. I also haven't really had much of an opportunity to hear the Brabus exhaust from the OUTSIDE, seeing as it's my car, and my parents nor my siblings ever drive it. My mom took it for a drive once, but it wasn't much of a drive by, and that was quite a while ago.

Great video! Thanks for sharing your efforts. I like the look and sound that you're getting of your setup. Might have to look into the same project for my fortwo. Happy motoring!

As it turned out you need a T12 socket for removing the exhaust from the catalytic converter. The T10 socket is needed to remove the bolts from the catalytic converter heat shield except there is not enough clearance for the socket and the wrench. I was able to remove them with an 8mm open end wrench. If you are daring and don't mind removing other components to get better access it might work with the T10 socket but I did not want to complicate this by taking other components off and have to put them on. I guess I was being lazy.

What type of socket did you need to get to get the old exhaust off?
