I just can't imagine anyone preferring to use a spare tire with SOLID rubber. The Smart is already rough enough.

Cool video. However, being a AAA road side service provider, it is my experience that very few vehicle owners actually know how or are willing to install a spare tire. It is suprising to hear that you suffered from "no spare tire disorder" because I have also noticed that very few new car owners know where to find there spare or if it is a full size or donut tire. Also, considering locking lug nut keys are commonly mislocated, the thought of a spare tire that comes in mutiple parts will most likely be missing parts anyways when the time comes to need it. But still, quality video.

i prefer your "sweet" video, you could use 2 wheel "half wedges" and fit them in the same space, but you still need a jack. one regular wheel/tire in a tire bag velcroed to the back of a seat would work and take up little real space.

i have 3-4 pure wheel/tire combos for sale, with TPMS if anyone is interested.
